Athletes For A Better Community, Inc.

This program takes young co-ed adults between the ages of 18-24 through a 16-week basketball league that includes mandatory workshops, academic tutoring activities, athletic conditioning, job training exercises and potential internships.  

 

The league consists of 10 teams with a minimum of 100 participants. Games will be played on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings. Workshops are conducted prior to the beginning of games on topics such as leadership development, conflict resolution, AIDS awareness, substance abuse resistance skills, and teen pregnancy.

 

We will assist with resume creation & updating as well as job readiness training. Our partnerships with Law Enforcement, Health & Human Services, Trade & Business Leaders, and Educators will aid in this endeavor.
